Facilities Engineer
About the job
Job Location - Neom, Saudi Arabia
Key Accountability Areas
Maintenance
- Perform and monitor overall maintenance and repair work on facility systems: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Civil, and other installed systems.
- Maintain and operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management systems, and building repairs.
- Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
- Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive maintenance contracts.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with city ordinances and codes.
Reports
- Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Generate periodic reports accurately and efficiently for client reporting.
- Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
Subcontract Management
- Vendor management.
Safety
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
Support
- Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in similar duties.
Education and Certifications
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
- Knowledge of the engineering principles and practices of the facilities engineering service.
- Knowledge of the standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities.
- Knowledge of modern materials, methods, and techniques of design, construction, installation, and maintenance of structures and facilities.
- Knowledge of the development and use of contracts, estimates, and specifications.
- Knowledge of the elements of cost in construction and maintenance, including the determination of unit cost records.
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application.
- Knowledge of state, national, and local building codes and standards.
- Knowledge of inspection and investigation techniques.
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and correspondence related to the work.
- Ability to use computers and available software to maintain records and prepare technical reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to maintain favorable public relations.
- Skill in the use of engineering instruments and tools.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information is available.

الصيانة
- القيام ومراقبة جميع أعمال الصيانة والإصلاح على الأنظمة الموجودة في المنشأة: ميكانيكية، كهربائية، صحية، وأي أنظمة أخرى مثبتة.

المؤهلات/المتطلبات
المعرفة والخبرة
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5-7 سنوات في أداء واجبات مماثلة.
التعليم والشهادات
- مهندس ميكانيكي أو كهربائي.
- معرفة بمبادئ وممارسات الهندسة الخاصة بخدمات منشآت الهندسة.

Cost Monitoring and Analysis
- Monitor and analyze site operational costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions to management.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs and provide explanations for discrepancies.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for site operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for budgeting purposes.
- Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for site operations.
