Investment Associate

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research, industry analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.

Financial Modeling and Valuation:

• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comps, etc.).

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Deal Execution Support:

• Support the deal execution process, including term sheet negotiations, legal documentation, and coordination with legal and finance teams.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor portfolio company performance and assist in value creation initiatives.

Database and CRM Maintenance:

• Maintain databases and CRM systems to track deal flow and investment pipeline.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal teams including finance, legal, and operations for seamless execution.

Market Awareness:

• Stay up-to-date on market trends, macroeconomic developments, and emerging sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support benchmarking and monitoring shipping industry standards.

• Develop periodic reports, flag anomalies, and support improvement identification.

• Develop forecasting models.

• Assist in organization-wide planning and budgeting processes.

• Analyze actual performance vs. plans, identify variances, and follow up.

• Prepare MIS and executive management dashboards.

• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.

• Prepare consolidation reports.

• Monitor accounting for companies and subsidiaries.

• Assist in business advisory services.

• Handle joint venture accounting.

• Coordinate with relevant authorities regarding vessel certificates, sales, purchases, and formalities.

• Manage lease accounting.

• Coordinate with banks and financiers.

• Assist in payables and receivables accounting.

• Prepare day-to-day accounting entries.
