The Role:
To support offshore operations by managing rigging stores and lifting tackle in line with EnerMech procedures. The role requires safety leadership and hands-on experience with lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of rigging tackle and lifting gear

Inspect and service rigging equipment before re-issue

Job Title: Rigging Foreman / Appointed Person – Offshore Platform
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for supporting deck operations on the client’s offshore platform, ensuring the safe and compliant execution of lifting activities. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and managing rigging teams and lifting gear.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute all lifts in line with client and EnerMech procedures.

Coordinate rigging crew for all platform and vessel lifts.
-
Ensure all staff are competent, briefed, and fully aware of their tasks.

Check and maintain lifting equipment logs, certificates, and inventories.

Conduct risk assessments and supervise critical and non-routine lifts.
-
Suspend lifts if environmental or operational conditions become unsafe.

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and emergency protocols.

Act as Banksman/Signalman when needed.

Manage all loose lifting equipment and support bi-annual inspection campaigns.
-
Identify proper cranes, accessories, and ensure load stability.

Complete lift plans, reports, and operational logs.

Lead fire standby duties, deck activities, and participate in emergency response if required.

Delegate duties to competent personnel as needed (responsibility remains with the Appointed Person).

Stop operations when risk to safety is observed.
Qualifications:
Required:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum 3 years).

10+ years of lifting experience in Oil & Gas, including 5 years in a supervisory/Appointed Person role.
