SR. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS OFFICER
Main Accountabilities & Expectations
-
Manage and process all types of leaves (annual, maternity, unpaid, compensation, escort, sick leave, etc.) ensuring timely submission and verification with the Attendance system.

Oversee contract renewals by liaising with line managers, preparing renewal letters, attaching required documents (e.g., performance appraisals), and completing the process in the HR LOGOS system.
-
Track employees nearing probation completion and ensure line managers complete evaluations and confirm employment status.
-
Process employee benefits and allowances such as promotions, travel tickets, awards, special allowances, transportation, overtime, and health insurance.
-
Handle transfer and change requests, including transfers, job title changes, marital status updates, and educational qualifications.

إدارة ومعالجة جميع أنواع الإجازات (السنوية، الأمومة، بدون راتب، تعويضية، مرافقة، الإجازات المرضية القصيرة والطويلة، وغيرها) والتأكد من تقديم طلبات العودة من الإجازة في الوقت المحدد ومطابقتها مع نظام الحضور.

متابعة عملية تجديد العقود من خلال التواصل مع المديرين المختصين، إعداد خطابات التجديد، إرفاق الوثائق المطلوبة (مثل تقييم الأداء)، وإتمام العملية في نظام HR LOGOS.

متابعة الموظفين الذين يقتربون من إكمال فترة التجربة وضمان قيام المدير المباشر بتقييمهم وتأكيد حالتهم الوظيفية.

معالجة كافة أنواع المزايا والبدلات مثل الترقيات، تذاكر السفر السنوية، جوائز التميز، البدلات الخاصة، بدل النقل، طلبات العمل الإضافي، التأمين الصحي، وغيرها.

معالجة طلبات النقل والتغييرات مثل قرارات النقل، تغييرات المسمى الوظيفي، الحالة الاجتماعية، المؤهلات التعليمية.
HEAD OF SPORTS ACTIVITIES SECTION

As a Head of Sports Activities Section, you are expected to support, organize, and promote sports and physical health activities at the University of Sharjah. You will ensure high standards of training, coaching, efficient use of resources, and the creative development of the physical health and sports curriculum. Additionally, you will help engage students in various sports activities, programs, and events to enhance and develop their physical skills.

Lead the development and execution of the Sports Activities Section’s processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and UOS requirements.

Supervise all sports activities and teams at the sports complex. Organize tournaments and championships that promote a positive image of the University and enhance the health and fitness of its community.

Design, implement, and manage sports activities and programs that comply with best practices and UOS standards.

Encourage student participation by coaching and supervising University of Sharjah teams to prepare and compete in various sporting competitions.

Assist in preparing the deanship’s budget to ensure adequate funding for all sports activities within budget limits, and suggest improvements for the sports complex when necessary.

Job Purpose
To create and publish diverse digital content, including articles, blogs, news, feature stories, and multimedia, showcasing the University of Sharjah’s achievements, activities, and scientific contributions.
Main Responsibilities

Maintain ongoing communication with various departments, colleges, and centers to stay updated on current and upcoming events such as cultural activities, academic events, conferences, and research initiatives to ensure proper coverage.

Prepare and conduct interviews with students, faculty, and other community members to highlight their achievements and projects for the university’s Academy Magazine and external publications.

Create and publish engaging news articles, blogs, and reports across multiple platforms to promote the university’s activities and contributions.

POSTDOC - SHARJAH CENTER FOR PUBLIC OPINION POLLS
🇬🇧 Job Purpose – Postdoctoral Researcher
As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (RIHSS), you will be part of the Center for Public Opinion Polls, contributing to research projects that inform and shape public discourse and policy. You are expected to hold a PhD from a reputable institution and possess a strong academic background in social sciences, survey research, or related fields, with particular expertise in data analysis, public opinion measurement, and policy development. You will be responsible for building and enhancing the capacity and capability of the Center for Public Opinion Polls Team, collecting and analyzing data, and writing technical reports. In addition, you will contribute to the development of on-site measurement scales and indicators and play a key role in designing and developing organizational and societal policies and strategies. Your role will be essential in advancing empirical research that supports evidence-based decision-making in both governmental and societal contexts.
