Social Worker – Join Maersk’s Global Logistics Team in Olmos, Peru

With major projects underway, including a new fruit packaging center in Olmos, Peru, we are looking for a Social Worker to drive our Social Welfare program at the plant.

Job Purpose:
The Social Worker will be responsible for developing the annual Social Welfare program and budget, ensuring the execution of integration and recreational activities to guarantee employee satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the Annual Social Welfare Plan and monitor the execution of all activities in coordination with the immediate supervisor.

• Organize and implement social welfare activities for employees based on the established schedule.

• Develop the Annual Social Welfare Budget and submit it to the People Partner for preliminary approval.

• Support site inspections and address infrastructure, maintenance, cleanliness, and material supply needs.

• Inspect employee transport units in collaboration with safety and occupational health teams to ensure comfort, cleanliness, and adherence to routes.

• Propose strategies to improve employee retention based on absenteeism records.

• Provide comprehensive employee assistance, including payroll, ESSALUD, loans, labor conditions, vacations, medical leaves, etc.

• Assist in contract renewals to ensure legal compliance in employment processes.

• Advise managers and supervisors on handling RIT and applying disciplinary measures.

• Administer employee loans and monitor the process from request to repayment.

• Lead the labor and ethics committee meeting, addressing employee concerns and directing them to the appropriate areas for resolution.

• Update medical leave data for monthly payroll validation.

• Ensure the execution of welfare activities like bulletin boards, suggestion boxes, and inspections.

• Enforce compliance with industrial safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• University degree in Social Welfare with professional certification.

• Technical knowledge of Excel (intermediate/advanced).

• Experience in performance indicator monitoring.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on people.

• Leadership skills without a formal title and a results-oriented mindset.

• Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities.

• Experience in the agro-industrial sector and knowledge of labor laws and Agricultural Labor Regime.

• Familiarity with ESSALUD (subsidies), EPS, compensation and benefits, and life insurance procedures.

• دعم عمليات التفتيش للموقع ومعالجة احتياجات البنية التحتية والصيانة والنظافة وإمدادات المواد.

• تفقد وحدات النقل الخاصة بالموظفين بالتعاون مع فرق الصحة والسلامة لضمان الراحة والنظافة والالتزام بالطرق المحددة.

• اقتراح استراتيجيات لتحسين الاحتفاظ بالموظفين بناءً على سجلات التغيب.

• توفير الدعم الشامل للموظفين، بما في ذلك كشوف الرواتب، ESSALUD، القروض، ظروف العمل، الإجازات، الإجازات المرضية، إلخ.

• المساعدة في تجديد العقود لضمان الامتثال القانوني في العمليات العمالية.

• تقديم المشورة للمديرين والمشرفين بشأن كيفية التعامل مع RIT وتطبيق التدابير التأديبية.

• إدارة القروض للموظفين ومراقبة العملية من الطلب حتى السداد.
