Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist in maintaining accurate financial records, and contribute to the smooth functioning of our retail business.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily accounting entries and ledger maintenance
Prepare and maintain financial reports, records, and statements
Support accounts payable and receivable functions
Reconcile bank statements and other financial data
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Coordinate with internal departments and vendors as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of accounting experience (preferably in retail)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and MS Excel
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Role Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the accounting department by performing various tasks, including financial record keeping, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
Help in reconciling accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Invoicing and Payments:
Process invoices and follow up on pending payments.
Assist in the preparation of payment vouchers and check payments.
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
Data Entry and Documentation:
Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records.
Ensure all financial documentation is properly filed and accessible.
Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for audits.
Compliance and Reporting:
Assist in ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
Help in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Support Functions:
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance is mandatory.
Must be currently in UAE.
Experience in UAE - minimum 1-2 years.
Preferred Skills:
Internship or previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
