About the job:

An accountant is responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of financial transactions. The accountant consolidates accounts in accordance with the company's accounting policies and procedures. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenses, and preparing and monitoring all cash/credit transactions. The accountant is also responsible for handling accounting, budgeting, costing, contracts, and any other financial transactions related to the company's operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Apply SAS accounting principles and policies to enter daily financial transactions for accounts payable and accounts receivable into the accounting system as well as review/post sub-transactions to the system.

• Preparing journal entries, reconciling the general ledger, and preparing monthly financial statements.

• Ensure that financial records are maintained efficiently, accurately and up to date.

• Maintain and organize up-to-date financial records and supporting documents including third-party contracts, suppliers, vouchers, and invoices.

• Prepare supplier checks and record all supplier checks in the check register.

• Complete payroll functions to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

• Communicate with financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, etc. to complete the department's tasks.

• Calculate and prepare cost entries for materials, labor, vehicles, and parts under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.

• Ensure that all bank transactions are properly recorded.

• Assist with activities related to closing the month.

• Assist in the statistical audit to complete it within the specified time frame.

• Ensure that all accounting and operational transactions are accurately recorded in the system and that accounting records are completed in accordance with applicable laws.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and periodic reports.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).

• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance.

• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Familiarity with tax preparation and regulatory compliance is a plus.

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports.

• Settling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
