Custodian
Location: OKC Zoo

- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping inside buildings, including sanitizing public restrooms, vacuuming, disinfecting floors, washing windows, dusting furniture, and emptying trash cans.
- Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor spaces by picking up litter, emptying trash containers, hosing down ramps/patios, and clearing pathways, sidewalks, parking lots, and drives.
- Assist guests by providing directions and answering questions while ensuring excellent Guest Service.
- Support in cleaning up after special events.
- Operate light machinery such as floor scrubbers, floor waxing machines, and minor building repair tools.
- Perform minor maintenance duties as required.
- Work part-time with an hourly pay rate of $14.48.
- Employment is subject to a pre-employment background check.
Animal Caretaker - Ungulates
Location: OKC Zoo
Company: Oklahoma City Zoo
- Provide hands-on care for hoofed animals, ensuring their daily needs and well-being.
- Perform feeding, cleaning, habitat maintenance, and behavioral observation.
- Engage with guests to provide educational and interactive experiences.
- Assist in training programs and enrichment activities for the animals.
- Work in a dynamic zoo environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain accurate records of animal behavior, health, and diet.
- Collaborate with the Curator and Assistant Curator to ensure high-quality animal care.
- Must have at least one year of experience in an AZA-accredited facility or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license required within 30 days of hire.
- Complete OKC Zoo Learning Management System training within the first six months of employment.
- Pay rate: $15.93 per hour.
