Professor/Associate Professor in Communication specialization in Communication, Mass Communication, Digital Media).

Job Summary:

 The Faculty of Media and Public Relations at Liwa College is inviting applicants for one position of Professor/Associate Professor in Communication (specialization in Communication, Mass Communication, Digital Media). The language of instruction in this program is Arabic. The successful candidate is expected to start in September 2025 on the Abu Dhabi campus.

 Selected candidates will teach both theoretical and practical courses. The candidate must be highly motivated to achieve the mission of the Faculty of Media and Public Relations in the areas of teaching, research, and community/professional service.

The successful candidate will:

 Participate in teaching theoretical and practical courses.

Teach other communication courses (graduate and undergraduate) as per faculty needs.

Perform faculty/college, community, and professional service.

Assist in the continued development and promotion of the Program.

 Competencies:

 The successful candidate must possess a distinguished track record of teaching and scholarship in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed publications, especially in Scopus-indexed journals or Arcif-indexed Arabic journals, in addition to other forms of scholarship. Experience in supervising theses and/or dissertations is expected. The ability to use Artificial Intelligence applications in teaching is a plus. In addition, proficiency in digital media tools and social media management is desirable.

 

Requirements:

 Minimum qualifications include:

 A Ph.D. holder in Communication with a specialization in Communication, Mass Communication and/or Digital Media.

Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English

A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in the above-mentioned specializations.    ce in the above-mentioned specializations.

Presentation of a short lecture at the MA level is required for short-listed candidates.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Establish and oversee student councils, clubs, and organizations to enhance students' involvement and leadership opportunities.

Create and coordinate a diverse range of activities, workshops, and events that enrich students' campus experiences.

Plan & represent the college in community service events that require student participation.

Maintains broad working relationships with students, staff personnel, and academic personnel.

Organize cultural events that celebrate the diverse backgrounds of the local community.

Design initiatives that promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation among students.

Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the student journey, gathering insights to enhance the overall student experience.

Oversees student inquiries via emails, calls, and personal meetings, directing complaints to relevant departments and providing students with feedback on the actions taken to resolve their concerns.

Provide advisory support to student leaders, empowering them to drive positive change within the campus community.

Directs the Student Council and student clubs through the facilitation of an effective educational awareness program to help them maintain and establish a close connection with the student body.

Reports and data are compiled as needed in response to college efficiency and performance, external auditors, and accrediting authorities.

Implement innovative strategies and adjustments to improve the quality and relevance of offerings.

ملخص الوظيفة:

 تدعو كلية الإعلام والعلاقات العامة في كلية ليوا المتقدمين لشغل وظيفة أستاذ/أستاذ مشارك في الاتصال (تخصص الاتصال، الاتصال الجماهيري، الوسائط الرقمية). لغة التدريس في هذا البرنامج هي اللغة العربية. ومن المتوقع أن يبدأ المرشح الناجح في سبتمبر 2025 في حرم أبو ظبي.

 سيقوم المرشحون المختارون بتدريس دورات نظرية وعملية. يجب أن يكون المرشح متحمسًا للغاية لتحقيق مهمة كلية الإعلام والعلاقات العامة في مجالات التدريس والبحث والخدمة المجتمعية / المهنية.

سوف يقوم المرشح الناجح بما يلي:

 المشاركة في تدريس المقررات النظرية والعملية.

 الكفاءات:

 يجب أن يتمتع المرشح الناجح بسجل حافل من التدريس والمنح الدراسية في المنشورات المعترف بها دوليًا والمُحكمة، وخاصة في المجلات المُفهرسة في Scopus أو المجلات العربية المُفهرسة في Arcif، بالإضافة إلى أشكال أخرى من المنح الدراسية. ومن المتوقع أن تكون لديه خبرة في الإشراف على الأطروحات و/أو الرسائل العلمية. تعد القدرة على استخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في التدريس ميزة إضافية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يُفضل إتقان أدوات الوسائط الرقمية وإدارة وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.

 

متطلبات:

يُشترط على المرشحين المختارين تقديم محاضرة قصيرة على مستوى الماجستير.

إنشاء والإشراف على مجالس الطلاب والأندية والمنظمات لتعزيز مشاركة الطلاب وفرص القيادة.

إنشاء وتنسيق مجموعة متنوعة من الأنشطة وورش العمل والفعاليات التي تعمل على إثراء تجارب الطلاب في الحرم الجامعي.

التخطيط وتمثيل الكلية في فعاليات الخدمة المجتمعية التي تتطلب مشاركة الطلاب.

يحافظ على علاقات عمل واسعة مع الطلاب وموظفي هيئة التدريس والموظفين الأكاديميين.

تنظيم فعاليات ثقافية تحتفل بالخلفيات المتنوعة للمجتمع المحلي.

تصميم المبادرات التي تعزز التفاهم والتقدير بين الثقافات المختلفة بين الطلاب.

إجراء تقييم شامل لرحلة الطالب، وجمع الأفكار لتحسين تجربة الطالب بشكل عام.

يشرف على استفسارات الطلاب عبر البريد الإلكتروني والمكالمات والاجتماعات الشخصية، ويوجه الشكاوى إلى الأقسام ذات الصلة ويزود الطلاب بالتعليقات حول الإجراءات المتخذة لحل مخاوفهم.

تقديم الدعم الاستشاري لقادة الطلاب، وتمكينهم من قيادة التغيير الإيجابي داخل مجتمع الحرم الجامعي.

يدير مجلس الطلاب والأندية الطلابية من خلال تسهيل برنامج فعال للتوعية التعليمية لمساعدتهم على الحفاظ على علاقة وثيقة مع الطلاب وتأسيسها.

يتم تجميع التقارير والبيانات حسب الحاجة استجابة لكفاءة الكلية وأدائها، والمراجعين الخارجيين، وسلطات الاعتماد.

تنفيذ استراتيجيات وتعديلات مبتكرة لتحسين جودة العروض وأهميتها.
