Job Description

KOTUG International is seeking a Marine Engineer to monitor the technical performance of assigned vessels, prepare maintenance schedules, write specifications, and oversee all necessary maintenance and inspections. The engineer will be responsible for executing tasks in line with KOTUG’s technical standards, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.

Job Title: Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

• Stay actively updated with QHSE manuals and procedures.

• Ensure safe and healthy execution of department activities.

• Monitor the safety performance of subcontracted work on ships and shipyards.

• Report any uncertainties or issues affecting safety.

Annual Technical Budget Management

• Prepare docking plans and contribute to the Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Planned Maintenance (PM) budget.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant work experience.

• Extensive knowledge of maintenance methods, Class and Flag State certification, and HSEQ policies and guidelines.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and solve problems.

• Organizational, planning, and time management skills.

• Ability to lead teams of engineers, captains, and subcontractors while taking full accountability.
