Job Summary:

The Senior Technology Engineer (Hadoop) is responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing scalable big data platforms, focusing on the Hadoop ecosystem. The role also includes DevOps support, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and infrastructure management to ensure the smooth and secure operation of data-intensive systems.

Technical Skills:

• Up-to-date knowledge of CDP versions (7.1.7 to 7.1.9)

• Cloudera Manager expertise for deploying, configuring, and monitoring CDP services

• Strong understanding of Kerberos, LDAP/AD, and TLS security

• Experience collaborating with database, network, security, and system teams

• Proficiency in Linux CLI

• Scripting skills in Bash or Python

• Expertise in Data Architecture, Strategy, and Roadmaps

• Knowledge of Data Quality, Profiling, Governance, Security, Metadata, and Archival

• Familiarity with open-source platforms (Java, Linux, Python, Git, Jenkins)

• Exposure to BI tools like Power BI and Tableau

Requirements:

• Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or a related field

• Over 8 years of experience in IT, including 3+ years in data engineering/architecture

• Strong background in the banking and financial services sector
