Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to ensure adequate supply and minimize stock outs.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts of inventory to identify discrepancies and address issues promptly.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and storage of inventory.
- Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize losses.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management processes and systems.
- Generate reports and analysis on inventory performance, including inventory turnover, stock aging, and variance analysis.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably in a retail or distribution environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
