Environmental Laboratory Chemist - Organic Chemist 1
- Lab Management - Oversee daily activities, resolve analytical and operational issues to ensure smooth laboratory functioning with technical knowledge in analytical lab testing.
- Documents - Prepare technical documents for Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and quality forms.
- Training & Staff Competency - Conduct training for Chemists and Technicians, verify competencies, and perform internal audits. Knowledge of ISO, APHA, and EPA laboratory methods, equipment handling, maintenance, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Laboratory QHSSE - Ensure quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance during handling, usage, and disposal of substances, following recognized standards.
- Test Equipment - Maintain equipment calibrations and verifications at all times. Ensure availability of equipment and reagents to prevent testing delays.
- Audit - Lead external audits and serve as the primary contact for accrediting bodies.
- Overall Responsibility - Ensure the laboratory produces reliable, high-quality data.
- Lab Testing Load Management - Manage testing turnaround time (TAT).
- Education - Master’s degree in Chemistry, preferably Analytical Chemistry/Environmental Sciences or related fields providing a technical base for testing procedures and results interpretation.
Environmental Laboratory Chemist - Inorganic Chemist 1
- Perform inorganic testing on ICP-OES, Microwave, and IC for water and soil samples to analyze and quantify metals, anions, etc.
- Hands-on experience in collection, preservation, and transportation of water samples to maintain integrity.
- Develop new methods and protocols to enhance laboratory capabilities for water and soil samples.
- Conduct validation and measurement uncertainty studies for inorganic parameters.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable analytical results.
- Prepare and store standard solutions and reagents for inorganic and wet chemistry analyses.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks as per ISO/APHA methods.
Graduate GIS Specialist - UAE National
- Read and understand spatial and non-spatial data, topographical surveying, remote sensing, and satellite image processing.
- Digitize and create maps, prepare heat maps, contours, spot heights, and elevation/terrain models.
- Proficiency in commercial GIS software (preferably ESRI suite) and CAD software (preferably AutoCAD).
- Ensure adherence to Fugro policies and procedures.
- Requirements: UAE national with Family Book, degree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing/GIS, or related fields (Geology, Engineering, or Data Science with GIS emphasis). Good command of English.
