Librarian – Abu Dhabi Campus

About the Organization: Since 1993, Liwa University has provided high-quality higher education in Abu Dhabi, offering 30 programs across 4 colleges: Media and Public Relations, Medical and Health Sciences, Business, and Engineering and Computing. The university supports students’ academic progress and overall well-being with targeted resources and services.

Job Summary: Assist the library manager in promoting and developing the college library, providing effective services to students and staff. Tasks include sorting and shelving books, issuing and receiving library materials, registering patrons, and other professional and clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing required materials for selection and acquisition, making recommendations for books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials.
  • Lend learning resources to students and staff.
  • Organize and maintain assigned collections.
  • Suggest weeding, mending, and replacing materials according to library policies.
  • Assist in developing and presenting library programming.
  • Coordinate with the Learning Resource Center Manager and Senior Librarian to ensure library technology remains current.
  • Distribute publisher catalogs for acquisition and update library resources.

Assistant Professor – Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Communication with specialization in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
  • Minimum three years of teaching experience in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication at a higher education institution.
  • At least one-year professional experience in Public Relations & Institutional and Government Communication.
