Gulf Contractors Company (GCC) has announced new career opportunities in Abu Dhabi for highly experienced professionals in infrastructure, bridges, and road projects.

Established in 1988 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, GCC is one of the UAE’s leading civil engineering and construction companies, delivering major infrastructure, defense, industrial, commercial, and residential projects across the region.

1) Contracts Engineer – Abu Dhabi

Location: Abu Dhabi – Head Office

Role Overview

GCC is seeking an experienced Contracts Engineer to administer and manage construction contracts in accordance with FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red & Yellow Book). The role focuses on claims management, variations, cost control, delay analysis, and safeguarding the company’s contractual and commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts in line with FIDIC requirements and project amendments.
  • Manage variations, claims, EOT (Extension of Time), and cost claims.
  • Review and certify BOQ quantities and rates.
  • Monitor project costs and support financial forecasting.
  • Assess delays using Primavera P6 and conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
  • Draft contractual correspondence (notices, determinations, warnings).
  • Liaise with Abu Dhabi authorities regarding contractual matters and NOCs.
  • Support dispute resolution (DAAB, arbitration) and final account close-out.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure and bridge projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC (1999 & 2017 editions).
  • Familiarity with UAE authority standards.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Eligibility: Only candidates currently residing in the UAE with the required experience will be considered.

2) Project Manager (Bridges & Roads) – Abu Dhabi

Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Overview

GCC is looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in bridges and road infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major civil works while ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage road, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
  • Control project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Supervise multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority regulations and safety standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical and project risks.
  • Maintain communication with senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure projects (Bridges & Roads).
  • Proven project management expertise.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (PMP certification preferred).
  • Experience working with Abu Dhabi authorities is required.
