Learning & Development Specialist – UAEN
About the Job: We are seeking a motivated Learning & Development Specialist – UAEN to support and enhance staff training, professional growth, and organizational development initiatives across the organization. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing training and people development programs for both clinical and non-clinical staff, while promoting a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement within the hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Design, develop, and implement training programs aligned with organizational and departmental needs.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and orientation programs for new and existing employees.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new joiners across both facilities.
- Develop training materials including presentations, workshops, and learning resources.
People Development
- Support employee development initiatives including career development plans and succession planning.
- Work with department heads to identify high-potential employees and support leadership development programs.
- Assist in implementing talent development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support performance management processes, including identifying training needs based on performance evaluations.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
Applications Informatics Support - UAEN
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of clinical information systems implementation, including requirements review, testing, and go-live support.
- Provide first-line support to HIS users, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate resolutions with vendor support teams.
- Analyze clinical workflows and assist in translating business requirements into system solutions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned HIS modules.
- Develop user training materials, conduct end-user training, and competency assessments.
- Support system enhancements, change requests, and integration activities.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports and statistical data for management.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, help desk coverage, and on-call schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical specialty or Computer Science.
- UAEN with Family Book.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a super user in a reputable Health Information System.
- Experience in at least three modules such as Order Entry, Clinical Documentation, Pharmacy, ICU, Patient Access, RIS, LIS, or Patient Billing.
- Experience in a large healthcare facility.
- Strong communication, analytical, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- MBA or PMP certification is an advantage.
Charge Nurse – Long Term Ventilation Unit (UAEN)
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Active
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory
- Ventilator Management Competency
- Sepsis & Rapid Response Training
- Pressure Injury Prevention Certification (Preferred)
Clinical & Leadership Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage ventilated and high-dependency patients
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Participation in a minimum of 5 documented Code Blue events
- Infection control compliance ≥ 98%
- Experience in safe staffing coordination
- At least 3 months cumulative experience as Charge Nurse reliever
- Led at least one clinical audit or patient safety initiative
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior nurses
- Enrolled in or completed Clinical Leadership Pathway Level 1
