Make your mark as a Structural Engineer at Boskalis Offshore Energy and work on prestigious and challenging offshore projects!
As a structural engineer, you will be working for the Global Engineering department of the Boskalis Offshore Energy division. This department is responsible for the strength verification of the vessels in the fleet, designing various temporary works and structures, and providing technical support to different business units/departments within the Offshore Energy division. We work with state-of-the-art equipment that meets the highest quality and safety requirements.
We are looking for a pragmatic and solution-oriented engineer with an eye for safety. In the role of Structural Engineer, you will rely on your technical affinity and experience to make a stable contribution to our team. Provide up-to-date engineering advice and support, and assist in the development and improvement of structural engineering working methods, tools, and equipment.
Your Responsibilities As a Structural Engineer
- Prepare reports with design and verification calculations for all structural works within the Scope, Budget, and Schedule.
- Develop various concepts for design and advise on the most suitable solution for the problem.
- Verification of drawings to ensure that these match with engineering performed.
- Initiate and document good engineering practices, tools, and departmental standards.
- First point of contact during the construction and fabrication of the designed items.
- Managing design and verification works at subcontractor engineering firms.
- Typical Deliverables: Sea fastening analyses, Global Hull Analyses, Lifting point verification, Global strength verifications of vessels, Jackets and Topsides, On Bottom Stability analyses, Strongpoint verifications, Deck load diagrams, etc.
