Damen Shipyards Group is hiring an Assistant Purchaser for Damen Middle East Shared Services, UAE. The company, established in 1927, is a 100% Dutch family-owned international group operating 34 shipbuilding and repair yards with over 12,000 employees worldwide.

Purpose of the Role:

The Purchaser will independently manage and coordinate Non-Product Related (NPR) procurement activities for goods and services, ensuring optimal commercial conditions, strong supplier performance, and effective risk mitigation. The role contributes to category strategy development and supplier relationship management.

Position in the Organization:

Department: Procurement NPR
Reports to: Manager Procurement and Category Manager or Senior Purchaser
Works closely with: Internal stakeholders (HR, IT, Facility Management, Finance) and suppliers

Senior HR Advisor

About the job:

Damen Middle East Shared Services, UAE, part of Damen Shipyards Group, is hiring a Senior HR Advisor. The group operates 34 shipbuilding and repair yards globally and provides specialized support services across Finance, Audit, Legal, and Compliance.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree or CIPD qualification
5–8 years of HR experience in UAE

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as HR Business Partner for Middle East operations
Advise management and Group HR on UAE laws and regulations
Personnel and payroll administration
Compensation and benefits management
Align HR policies with UAE Mainland and Freezone regulations
