JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for drawing blood from both inpatients and outpatients at CCAD and performing other pediatric, geriatric and adult specimen procurement duties. Will also participate in Royal and VVIP home visits as required.

🎯 PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL and Technical Duties
Performs duties as assigned or requested by the Laboratory Director / Manager or designate.
Refers any clinical interpretations to the respective Clinical Laboratory Consultants.
Performs phlebotomy on patients in accordance with established procedures.
Deals with sorting and booking of specimens.
Performs blood collection function at assigned area.
Performs collection of other specimen samples as required.
Verifies order requests and all identifying information prior to drawing blood.
Draw blood from veins by vacuum tube, butterfly or syringe venipuncture methods.
Administrative and Coordination
Completes and maintains preventative maintenance and troubleshooting records.
Maintains appropriate supplies at the workstation.
Coordinate with the royal protocol office in regards to collecting samples from royal patients within and outside of the hospital for home visits.
KNOWLEDGE OF LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, accreditation requirements, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Ensures correct patient identification performed meets the quality control guidelines as specified in the laboratory method manual.

الواجبات السريرية والتقنية
يؤدي الواجبات الموكلة إليه أو المطلوبة من قبل مدير/رئيس المختبر أو من ينوب عنه.
يحيل أي تفسيرات سريرية إلى استشاريي المختبرات السريرية المعنيين.
يؤدي مهام سحب العينات (Phlebotomy) للمرضى وفقاً للإجراءات المتبعة.
يتولى مهام فرز وتسجيل العينات.
يؤدي وظيفة جمع الدم في المنطقة المخصصة له.
يؤدي مهام جمع عينات أخرى حسب الاقتضاء.
يتحقق من طلبات الفحص وكافة المعلومات التعريفية قبل سحب الدم.
يسحب الدم من الأوردة باستخدام طرق أنبوب التفريغ، أو الفراشة، أو الحقن الوريدي بالسرنجة.
الشؤون الإدارية والتنسيق
يستكمل ويحتفظ بسجلات الصيانة الوقائية واستكشاف الأخطاء وإصلاحها.
يحتفظ بالإمدادات المناسبة في محطة العمل.
ينسق مع مكتب المراسم الملكية فيما يتعلق بجمع العينات من المرضى الملكيين داخل وخارج المستشفى للزيارات المنزلية.
الإلمام ببيئة المختبر
يحافظ على السياسات والإجراءات المعمول بها، والأهداف، وبرامج ضمان الجودة، ومتطلبات الاعتماد، ومعايير السلامة، ومكافحة العدوى والبيئة الخاصة بالقسم.
يضمن أن تحديد هوية المريض الصحيح الذي يتم إجراؤه يلبي إرشادات مراقبة الجودة كما هو محدد في دليل أساليب المختبر.
