Assistant Plumber

Job Purpose

The Assistant Plumber will maintain the water supply system of all airport buildings, carry out daily routine checks of the water supply system, drainage, and perform fault rectification. The role also includes maintaining the RO plant, STP, and water hydrant line system, including repairs and routine checks.

Functional Accountabilities

The Assistant Plumber is responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper water supply to all airport buildings, including the GA area. Daily routine checks and fault rectification of plumbing installations must be performed.

The role also covers daily operations of bore wells, RO plants, and STP, including chemical dosing and periodic maintenance of related equipment.

A good knowledge of domestic water supply systems of buildings, water storage tanks, bore well operations, high-pressure fire hydrant pumps and pipe installations, domestic water supply pumps, and sewage treatment systems is required.

The candidate should be capable of working independently and supervising other staff.

Financial Responsibilities

Responsible for the water supply to all airport buildings including GA area, and for ensuring all related equipment is maintained within budget.

Customer and Other Responsibilities

Ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction within the airport premises related to water supply and plumbing services.

CNS Technician

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform maintenance of all electronic systems and equipment in coordination with the CNS Engineer.

• Assist day engineers in establishing daily, weekly, and monthly routine maintenance schedules in accordance with Ras Al Khaimah International Airport’s engineering procedures and manufacturer recommendations.

• Ensure prompt repair of electronic systems and equipment during the shift.

• Monitor and respond to complaints/issues from ATS and other departments to rectify defects, and inform the day CNS Engineer of major complaints or equipment failures.

• Follow up and repair outstanding faults and perform non-scheduled tasks and preventive maintenance of electrical and electronic systems and equipment as directed by the CNS Engineer or CNS Manager.

• Log all faults reported by ATS or other departments into the Job Card System.

• Update the Job Card System after rectification of faults.

• Responsible for issuing the CNS ROSI List.

• Keep the engineering logbook updated at all times.

• Record all night activities in the logbook for day engineers to review and take action when required.

• Follow all standing instructions and operating instructions of the department.

Job Purpose

To perform daily routine checks and assist in repair works across airport equipment and vehicles.

Functional Accountabilities

Financial / Process

• Prepare surfaces prior to beginning work.

• Clean work areas, tools, and equipment.

• Assist mechanics/technicians by positioning or holding materials or tools.

• Perform basic tasks of a trade applicable in the department.

• Obtain or transfer any materials or tools as required by storekeepers or mechanics.

• Fill fuel daily for all airport vehicles and equipment.

• Report on call during emergencies alongside technicians.

Customer and Other Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
