Job Title: Functional Tester

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Functional Tester to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications by conducting comprehensive manual testing and working closely with developers to ensure product excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to understand the scope of testing.

• Design, develop, and execute detailed functional test cases and test scripts.

• Conduct manual testing of applications, ensuring proper functionality, usability, and performance.

• Document, track, and report bugs or issues using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail.

• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.

• Validate bug fixes and software updates before release.

• Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous testing process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in functional/manual testing.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies.

• Experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.

• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, or similar.
