Junior Naval Architect

Responsibilities

Assess project requirements and research feasibility

Plan and supervise the construction of boats

Produce detailed designs of boats and required parts using CAD software

Draft and render boats and parts using CAD software

Develop and utilize test procedures including computer modeling and scale models

Interpret and analyze data and test results

Source and purchase components, equipment and materials

Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes

Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of drafting and rendering

Able to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings

Relevant shipyard/design office work experience is desirable

Keen on thinking creatively

Strong interpersonal skills

Able to work effectively with a team of engineers

Meticulous attention to detail

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Excellent spatial awareness

Assistant Electrician

Should be able to run wires and do the electrical connections of boat electrical and electronic accessories.

Should be familiar with installation, testing and repairs of boat electrical and electronic instruments and control systems.

Carry out preventive and routine maintenance schedules on all process units as instructed and in accordance with maintenance procedures.

Ensure all work orders are completed and work reports are recorded describing the fault, time, labour and materials used.

Requirements and Qualifications

Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations

Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent in Basics of Electricals and Electronics.
