Roles & Responsibilities

1. Equipment Design Leadership

Lead the design and engineering of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) for oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as API 610, 617, and other relevant codes.

2. Specifications & Documentation Review

Oversee the preparation and review of equipment specifications, datasheets, and vendor documentation.

3. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment with system designs.

4. Technical Calculations & Analysis

Perform detailed design calculations, including vibration analysis, rotor dynamics, and thermal performance.

5. Drawings & Layout Review

Review and approve design layouts, P&IDs, and equipment drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

6. Project Phase Support

Provide technical support throughout all project phases, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.

7. Vendor Management & Quality Control

Manage the vendor selection process, conduct technical evaluations, and ensure quality assurance and control of equipment packages.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Visual Inspections: Perform visual inspections in accordance with codes and standards before conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

• Radiographic Film Interpretation: Interpret radiographic films to assess the quality of welds.

• Non-Destructive Testing: Conduct and witness Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) tests to ensure the integrity of materials and welds.

• Weld Quality Monitoring: Monitor NDT activities that affect the quality of welds on each piping spool, ensuring that all work has been completed and accepted.

• Weld Status Reporting: Prepare weekly and cumulative weld status reports to track and document progress.

• Monthly Weld Reporting: Prepare and submit a monthly weld status report to the QC Manager, ensuring that the documentation is up to date.

• NDT Requests: Prepare NDT requests, including Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) if applicable, for visually accepted joints to meet NDT percentage requirements per line class and welder’s performance.

• Quality & Inspection Plans: Familiarize yourself with the approved quality and inspection plan to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.

• Drawing, Standards & Specifications Review: Review approved drawings, standards, and specifications to ensure proper inspection and testing procedures are followed.

• Final Document Preparation: Prepare and compile final documentation, including NDT reports (RT, MT, PT), for submission to relevant stakeholders.

• Welding Repairs Control: Oversee welding repairs by taking corrective actions to address any discrepancies or defects.

• Client & Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with the client and NDT subcontractors to ensure effective communication and smooth execution of tasks.

• Follow-Up on NDT Backlog: Track and follow up on any NDT backlog with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of all testing requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work Permit Management: Apply for and receive work permits, ensuring compliance with safety and work procedures.

• HSE Implementation: Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and safety measures to protect personnel, public, property, and the environment.

• Safety Induction & Training: Verify that all personnel involved in site activities have received appropriate safety induction and training.
