Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies for products across multiple markets in the GCC.
- Analyze historical sales data, seasonal trends, and competitor benchmarks to optimize product pricing.
- Monitor price elasticity and customer purchase behavior to suggest adjustments.
- Work with buyers and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective pricing that maintains healthy profit margins.
- Conduct real-time competitor price tracking and recommend pricing adjustments based on competitor activity.
- Utilize pricing intelligence tools (or work on implementing one) to automate competitor price monitoring.
- Assess price positioning for fast-moving products, high-margin items, and low-margin loss leaders.
- Work with tech teams and CRM systems to set up pricing automation tools or APIs for real-time pricing updates.
- Ensure pricing rules are data-driven and in sync with business objectives.
- Develop pricing dashboards and reports for management review.
- Track profitability, gross margins, and contribution margins for each category and region.
- Ensure pricing aligns with business goals and cost structures.
- Suggest price adjustments based on procurement costs and demand trends.
- Work closely with Marketing, Buyers, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure pricing decisions support sales growth and customer experience.
- Align pricing strategies with promotional campaigns, flash sales, and seasonal discounts.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis, e-commerce pricing, or financial analysis.
- Mandatory experience in e-commerce platforms with large SKUs and multiple categories.
- Strong knowledge of pricing models (cost-plus, dynamic pricing, penetration pricing, etc.).
- Experience with pricing intelligence tools, competitor benchmarking, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to make quick pricing decisions.
- Ability to handle multi-country pricing and adapt strategies per region.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present pricing insights to management.
- Prior experience working with major e-commerce platforms.
