Job Details
Position Summary
- Responsible for operating Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Subsea Tooling, IWOCS and RWOCS Systems, Tensioning and Reel Systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain and repair all electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and sub-systems associated with the equipment, including component repair, replacement, and troubleshooting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Functions
- Operate equipment, including cameras (video and still), acoustic positioning systems, sonars, manipulators (robotic arms), LARS (Launch and Recovery Systems), hydraulic power units, complex subsea tooling, surface and subsea workover systems.
- Assist or pilot the ROV, evaluating environmental conditions and hazards, docking/undocking from the TMS (tether management system), and navigating the ROV using acoustics, sonar, and visual (video).
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, including electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics. Use test equipment, calibrate, align equipment, and perform general housekeeping and corrosion control.
- Operate and repair electrical over hydraulic and direct hydraulic control systems that interact with pumps, valves, and other hydraulic transmission and power equipment.
- Interface with subsea navigational equipment, including magnetic compass, gyro, transducer, sonar, altimeter, and associated survey equipment.
- Integrate and operate tooling, including cutters, pump units, multipurpose skids, dredging systems, standalone sensory systems, and other tooling integrated with the ROV.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in subsea operations.

- Knowledge or experience in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in ROV operations.
- Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently.
