Details

As a member of the reservoir engineering group, the Senior Reservoir Engineer will:

• Build and maintain reservoir engineering models and coach the community on simulation tasks.
• Contribute, support, and deliver reservoir engineering tasks using appropriate tools and solutions.
• Monitor reservoir performance to ensure GSA forecasts are met and value from oil developments is maximized.
• Provide input to the Hydrocarbon Resource Maturation Process.
• Support the assessment and evaluation processes for new exploration blocks and/or new business opportunities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Reservoir and Field Development Planning

• Actively contribute to all Reservoir Engineering related activities with quality and timeliness.
• Provide reservoir engineering input to key business areas, including field development reservoir studies, field and well production forecasts, WRFM planning, and contribute to the development of asset reference plans.
• Support and provide quality input to other subsurface disciplines.
• Play an active role in the project and business planning process.
• Work closely with other subsurface disciplines and the drilling and operations team.
• Promote the quantification and management of uncertainty in the upstream business.

Reservoir Characterization

• Contribute to RE data acquisition projects/studies, including planning, field execution, data management, and interpretation during well drilling and surveillance activities (e.g., PVT, Well Tests, Pressure Surveillance, core data).
• Build, update, and validate reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (Eclipse, INTERSECT, Petrel).
• Integrate static models, well logs, core data, and production history into dynamic simulations.
• Perform assisted and manual history matching to ensure the model accurately reflects past reservoir performance.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of reservoir uncertainties on development plans.
• Generate production forecasts and assess recovery factors under various development scenarios.
• Evaluate and optimize well placement, production strategies, and injection schemes (e.g., water, gas, CO₂ injection).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in reservoir engineering, particularly in reservoir modeling, characterization, and field development.
• Strong knowledge of reservoir simulation software and data acquisition techniques.
• Experience working with subsurface disciplines, drilling, and operations teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

تفاصيل الوظيفة
كعضو في مجموعة هندسة الخزانات، سيقوم مهندس الخزان الأول بـ:

• بناء وصيانة نماذج هندسة الخزانات وتوجيه المجتمع في مهام المحاكاة.
• المساهمة والدعم وتنفيذ مهام هندسة الخزانات باستخدام الأدوات والحلول المناسبة.
• مراقبة أداء الخزان لضمان تلبية التوقعات وتحقيق أقصى قيمة من تطويرات النفط.
• تقديم المساهمة في عملية تفعيل الموارد الهيدروكربونية.
• دعم عمليات التقييم والتقويم للكتل الاستكشافية الجديدة و/أو الفرص التجارية الجديدة.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية
تخطيط الخزانات وتطوير الحقول

• المساهمة بنشاط وبجودة في جميع الأنشطة المتعلقة بهندسة الخزانات في الوقت المحدد.
• تقديم مدخلات هندسة الخزانات للمجالات التجارية الرئيسية، بما في ذلك دراسات تطوير الخزان، التوقعات الخاصة بالحقول وآبار الإنتاج، تخطيط WRFM، والمساهمة في تطوير خطط الأصول المرجعية.
• دعم وتقديم مدخلات ذات جودة عالية لبقية التخصصات تحت سطح الأرض.
• المشاركة بنشاط في عملية تخطيط المشاريع والأعمال.

توصيف الخزان

• المساهمة في مشاريع ودراسات جمع بيانات RE، بما في ذلك التخطيط، التنفيذ الميداني، إدارة البيانات وتفسيرها خلال أنشطة الحفر والمراقبة (مثل PVT، اختبارات الآبار، مراقبة الضغط، بيانات اللب).
