Job Description
Radiation Technologist is responsible for participating in all radiotherapy treatment and pre-treatment procedures under the supervision, direct or indirect, of Senior Radiotherapy Technologists.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Assists in organizing and checking the daily scheduling of patients.
  • Assists in providing accurate statistical data for the unit's workload.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Maintains proficiency with all major equipment, including Linear Accelerators, CT Scanner & Virtual Simulation, Radiation Oncology Information System, Portal Imaging System, and Planning system.
  • Collaborates as part of the treatment and pre-treatment team for procedures related to patient treatment, immobilization, and imaging.
  • Works with other health care professionals to ensure an efficient workflow, seeking senior approval for non-standard actions.
  • Ensures the safe, accurate, and appropriate delivery of treatment and imaging procedures, setting high standards for practice.
  • Reports equipment defects, accidents, and complaints immediately to ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Provides advice to patients regarding diet, skin care, and post-treatment care, referring to Oncologists or Health Care Professionals as appropriate.

  • Improves treatment techniques through technical innovations, trials of new equipment, and participation in audits.
  • Operates pre-treatment equipment/software, including virtual simulation software, and ensures proper planning per Clinical Oncologists' requirements.
  • Handles emergency duties and public holidays per departmental policy, including overtime for service continuity.
  • Conducts quality assurance checks on radiotherapy equipment, reporting variances immediately.
  • Verifies treatment plans against clinical requests and resolves discrepancies with senior supervision.
  • Maintains accurate workload records to aid statistical compilation.
  • Reviews and adapts clinical practices based on written guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensures accuracy in treatment imaging and devises corrective actions for discrepancies under senior supervision.
  • Complies with departmental regulations, including FNAR and Radiation Safety regulations.

The Consultant Physician is responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high-quality evidence-based care; effectively and efficiently diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the post holder’s care. The Consultant Physician is expected to be an example of clinical excellence within his or

her specialty and to provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures.
Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes.

Responsible for the provision of safe, effective, evidence-based, and comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to designated areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads a team of a designated specialty area of Occupational Therapy to provide an efficient and effective high-quality service.
Assists Occupational Therapy Supervisor in the implementation of service line strategic planning (quality/patient safety, accessibility/marketing, risk management, infection control) for effective and efficient business and clinical practice and patient satisfaction for the designated area.
Provides support in the planning and developing policies that guide the service implementation process.
Maintains and undertakes full comprehensive & accurate assessment of patients with diverse or complex presentations/multi-pathologies and options to formulate a specialized program of care. Evaluates patient’s progress, reassesses, and alters treatment programs if required.
Ensures self and junior staff members on their designated unit/s are aware and aligned with vision, mission, values, national licensing, organizational & departmental policies, clinical guidelines, and mandatory competencies.
Determines and is responsible for the safe and competent use of all therapy and independence equipment. Ensure that more junior occupational therapy staff attain competency prior to use.
Assists in training, supervising, and managing the performance of junior occupational therapy staff. This includes the use of formal appraisal documentation in line with those agreed on by the Occupational Therapy department.
Conducts daily or periodic checks and calibration of equipment. Recognizes, reports, and advises on discrepancies in performance and initiates remedial action in the light of this information.
Maintains up-to-date clinical and professional knowledge in order to provide a well-developed level of informed professional knowledge, and according to organizational requirements (e.g. minimum of CPD / CME hours per year required for re-licensing).
Delivers and participates in service line training and education sessions for department staff, doctors, and nurses in their designated units. This may be required periodically for the purpose of accreditations and licensing.
Maintains sufficient inventory of supplies for the assigned clinic or work unit, rotation of stock in an orderly fashion, and eliminating outdated items.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role is mainly responsible to monitor all transplant lists pertaining to donors and receivers and manage the donation process according to observed rules and regulations. The role is also responsible to monitor all transplant patients.

Providing advanced nursing care for patients before and after solid-organ transplantation including heart, kidney, kidney-pancreas, liver and lung along the continuum of outpatient to inpatient 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Coordinating the evaluation process for pre-transplant (referral) patients to ensure effective use of hospital and clinical resources
Assisting nurses and other staff to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the transplant patient
Providing on-call coverage, including coordination of activities prior to transplant, and as medical triage for out patients in collaboration with the physician on-call
Demonstrating understanding and ability to facilitate/coordinate evaluation and listing of potential transplant recipient candidates

Job Description

The CDI primary role will be auditing inpatient/ outpatient cases for DRG validation and/or documentation improvement opportunities utilizing a unique approach that combines technology, coding, and clinical documentation auditing expertise. Responsibilities include working directly with the Physicians, Coders, and CDI team members to streamline processes, identify training needs, and ensure consistent information is shared. Provide training, as needed, to ensure quality and productivity standards are met. This person should have strong coding skills, extensive knowledge of medical terminology, the human disease process, and anatomy & physiology, along with a thorough understanding of the workflow and processes utilized by the team members to successfully complete review processes. Viewed as an expert, highly sought-after resource, and a key advisor to other business partners. Ensures compliance of coding/billing and charging with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares medical records in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting to capture an accurate representation of the severity of illness and facilitate proper coding.
  • Improves documentation practices to reflect quality and outcome scores.
  • Develops and educates physicians and key healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation improvement and the need for accurate and complete documentation in the health record.
  • Obtains and promotes appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians to ensure that the documentation of the level of service rendered to the patient and the patient's clinical complexity is complete and accurate.
  • Performs remote and on-site paper or electronic medical chart review and clinical validation audits and interpretation of medical documentation to ensure clinical support of all relevant coding based on AHIMA guidelines.
  • Facilitates and obtains appropriate physician documentation for any clinical conditions or procedures to support the appropriate severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, and complexity of care of the patient.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Consultant Physician is responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high-quality evidence-based care; effectively and efficiently diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the post holder’s care. The Consultant Physician is expected to be an example of clinical excellence within his or her specialty and to provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes

  • Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring that adequate medical coverage is provided within the Division at all times

  • Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder’s specialty. The Consultant Physician’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following:
    • Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and assumes responsibility for the care they provide
    • Complies with all established hospital policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow-up practices
    • Practices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resources
    • Leads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice
    • Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures
    • Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required
    • Liaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as required
    • Actively participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe and holistic care for individual patients
    • Ensures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consent
    • Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from the Emergency Department, primary care, other departments, specialty clinics, walk-in patients, and patients referred from other hospitals
    • Participates in and ensures the provision of on-call hours (on call) coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays as required
    • Communicates clinical information to patients and the patient’s family and friends (with the consent of the patient) in a timely manner
    • Maintains a good working relationship with members of staff and promotes collaboration and a team-based approach to patient care
    • Performs other clinical duties as assigned
    • Helps lead quality improvement within the Department
    • Supports a culture of regular audit and encourages the use of audit results for improving clinical practice
    • Supports the reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents
    • Fosters a culture of learning, development and continuous improvement across the Department by:
      • Promoting and assisting in the instruction, guidance, and supervision of junior medical staff (required)

Experience:

  • Required:
    • Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification.
    • Tier 2: NLT 8 years full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post-board certification (includes years in fellowship training) in an internationally accredited institute.

For UAE Nationals

  • Clinical Fellowship training following primary specialty board may substitute for experience as follows:
    • Each year of clinical fellowship is counted as two years of clinical experience
