Sr Marine Superintendent (Dry Bulk)

Job Purpose:
To monitor the day-to-day operations of the vessels. Liaise and act as the focal point between the ships and the organization, ensuring all aspects of safety, certifications, and regulatory requirements are met. Organize and follow up on audits, inspections, and surveys to ensure company-owned vessels are operated in a safe, efficient, and economical manner, complying with statutory rules and regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Inspections: Monitor, arrange, and respond to SIRE/CDI inspections as required by the owner’s commercial department or flag inspections to ensure compliance with rules and regulations. Visit vessels to assist with pre-vetting inspections and conduct audits as required to identify potential risks.
- Port Agencies: Participate in the appointment of agencies and follow-up to ensure timely disbursements and invoicing for the owner’s husbandry matters.
- Security: Monitor vessel transits in high-risk areas. Oversee testing of alerts and liaise with service providers for troubleshooting.
- Vessel Load Discharge: Monitor and support the vessel's load/discharge operations in coordination with commercial operators.
- Safety: Act as the First Point of Contact (FPC) for assigned vessels regarding operations, safety, and emergencies, ensuring all assistance is provided for safe voyages. Investigate navigational and operational incidents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master Mariner (FG) certificate of competency
- 3-7 years of sailing experience as Master on board ships
- At least 2 years of shore job experience as Marine Superintendent
- All STCW certificates, Generic ECDIS, Risk Assessment, and Accident & Incident Investigation courses
Technical Assistant

Job Purpose:
Provide technical assistance to assigned vessels/ships by organizing manuals/drawings, filing voyage documents/logbooks, and technical monitoring and reporting to achieve desired levels of operational performance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Vessel Manual and Drawings: Maintain vessel manuals and drawings and ensure they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Correspondence and Emails: Ensure proactive correspondence and emails to internal and external parties to facilitate smooth operations.
- Technical Fleet Monitoring: Visit and inspect ships/vessels in coordination with Engineering and Electrical teams to identify issues and ensure technical support is provided by the respective teams.
- Voyage Documents/Log Books: File voyage documents such as bill of lading, cargo papers, agent details, certificates, and other logbooks for future reference.
- Reports: Prepare and submit necessary reports related to dry-docking, inspections, and audits to facilitate management review and future reference.

Demurrage and Claims Specialist (Chemical)

Job Purpose:
Evaluate the performance of the vessel to raise, manage, and process claims related to chemical vessels and voyages. Monitor and issue periodic claims reports to facilitate management review.
Key Accountabilities:
- Raise Claims: Evaluate vessel performance in terms of hours spent at load and discharge ports and at sea to avoid, minimize, or raise claims.
- Process Claims: Review and process established claims by determining deviations and root causes in coordination with the owners/customers and insurers/agents. Raise freight invoices, demurrage, and other claims against Charterers of Bahri vessels on voyage charters.
- Concepts & Policies: Evaluate spot demurrage and claims, and raise demurrage and claims under the terms of the COA between customer and Bahri.
- Reporting: Monitor claims and ensure that records and statistics related to demurrage, deviation, and other claims are maintained. Analyze trends and areas of improvement, issuing periodic reports.
- Relationship Management: Represent the company to customers who raise Spot Demurrage and Claims, creating solid, cooperative, and constructive relationships to identify customer needs and expectations, managing expectations to satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Transportation, Engineering, or Business Administration

الغرض من الوظيفة:
مراقبة العمليات اليومية للسفن، والتنسيق والعمل كنقطة اتصال بين السفن والمنظمة، ومتابعة جميع جوانب السلامة والشهادات والمتطلبات التنظيمية. تنظيم ومتابعة عمليات التدقيق، الفحوصات والاستطلاعات لضمان أن السفن المملوكة للشركة تعمل بشكل آمن وفعال واقتصادي ومتوافقة مع القوانين والتنظيمات القانونية.
المسؤوليات الرئيسية:
