Workshop Supervisor
Responsibilities
-
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of workshop staff (technicians, mechanics, fabricators, and other trades within the workshop/maintenance department).

Allocate resources effectively to meet job priorities and deadlines.

Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
-
Monitor job progress, inspect completed work, and ensure it meets quality standards.
-
Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of tools, spare parts, and materials.
-
Provide on-the-job training and support to workshop staff.
-
Maintain workshop cleanliness and equipment maintenance schedules.
-
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, planning, engineering) to ensure smooth operations.

Manage documentation including work orders, job cards, inspection reports, and timesheets.
-
Report performance, delays, or issues to upper management with recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or technical certification; degree in engineering or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of heavy OEM construction and industrial equipment or machinery.
-
Familiarity with OEM maintenance standards, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
-
Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and service bulletins.

Competence in preventive maintenance scheduling and work order management.
-
Knowledge of calibration, torque control, and precision measurement tools.
-
Skilled in inventory management and spare parts control.
Transportation Manager
Compliance and Reporting
-
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety standards related to asset management and transportation.

Prepare and present regular reports on asset utilization, transportation performance, and budget management to senior management.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset and transport operations.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
-
A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CPM) is a plus.
-
Proven experience (5+ years) in asset management, transportation management, or logistics in a similar industry.
-
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and transportation regulations.
-
Proficient in asset management software, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
-
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
