Job Description
The British School Al Khubairat is looking to employ a Piano Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic Music Department. This is a full-time role and will commence on 6th January 2025. The candidate will require relevant qualifications and the ability to teach piano up to Grade 8/Diploma level across a range of styles encompassing Classical, Musical Theatre, and Rock/Pop music. Candidates should be familiar with both ABRSM & Trinity exam syllabuses.
There are opportunities to contribute to co-curricular music across the whole school, as some of our students are preparing for or already hold performance diplomas. Music at BSAK is a significant part of school life, with around 550 students from ages 4-18 receiving individual instrumental and singing lessons in school every week from a dedicated team of instrumental specialists. Drum & Percussion Teacher
Job Description
The British School Al Khubairat is looking to employ a Drums & Percussion Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic Music Department. This is a full-time role and will commence on 6th January 2025. The candidate will require relevant qualifications and the ability to teach Drums & Percussion up to Grade 8/Diploma level across a range of styles encompassing Classical and Rock/Pop music.
Candidates should be familiar with both ABRSM & Trinity exam syllabuses and be able to teach the entire spectrum of orchestral tuned and untuned percussion. The Music Department provides a wide range of co-curricular ensembles across the whole school, and the right candidate would be prepared to be fully committed to this programme and concerts after school and sometimes on weekends. Music at BSAK is a significant part of school life, with around 550 students from year 3-13 receiving individual instrumental and singing lessons in school every week from a dedicated team of instrumental specialists. Design and Technology Teacher
Job Description
The British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) is looking to employ a Full-Time Design and Technology Teacher, teaching in KS3-5. The role will be available from 3rd February 2025, with the possibility for a later start in September 2025.
BSAK is rated Outstanding across all performance standards in both our local Government Agency inspection (ADEK) and that of British Schools Overseas (BSO); in 2023, we were awarded 5 awards in the Schools Compared.com, Top School Awards; Overall Best School in the UAE, Best British Curriculum, Best School for Sport, Best Fine Art, and Best Principal. We are also the first school outside of the UK to receive the Carnegie Gold Award for Mental Health.
The candidate will be a UK qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a PGCE/QTS qualification. The candidate should possess relevant subject teaching experience, with the ability to teach up to GCSE and A Level. The ability to also teach BTEC Engineering is advantageous.
