Principal Marine Construction Engineer
About the job
To lead and oversee the execution of marine and coastal construction works, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project schedules. The role focuses on supervising site activities, coordinating contractors, and ensuring all marine infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. The role also involves reporting critical milestones and obstacles to the section manager and preparing Terms of Reference (TOR) and Tender documents (Specifications, Bill of Quantities, and Drawings) for new projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Supervision:
• Lead technical supervision of marine and coastal construction activities (quay walls, breakwaters, groynes, revetments, pontoons, beach rehabilitation works, etc.)
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to approved drawings, materials, and method statements
• Review and verify construction schedules, progress reports, and recovery plans to ensure timely completion
• Identify delays or deviations from the baseline program and propose practical mitigation actions to realign progress
• Inspect and report on coastal development projects along the Dubai coast to ensure compliance with local decrees, international standards, and best practices
• Review and approve contractor payment applications

قيادة والإشراف على تنفيذ أعمال الإنشاءات البحرية والساحلية، وضمان الالتزام بالتصاميم والمواصفات والجداول الزمنية المعتمدة للمشاريع. يشمل الدور الإشراف على الأنشطة في الموقع، تنسيق المقاولين، وضمان تسليم جميع مشاريع البنية التحتية البحرية بأمان وكفاءة ووفق معايير الجودة، بالإضافة إلى تقديم التقارير عن المعالم الحرجة والعوائق لمدير القسم. كما تشمل المسؤوليات إعداد شروط المرجع (TOR) وتجميع مستندات المناقصة (مثل المواصفات، جدول الكميات، والرسومات) للمشاريع الجديدة.
المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية:
تنفيذ المشروع والإشراف:
• قيادة الإشراف الفني على أنشطة الإنشاءات البحرية والساحلية (جدران الأرصفة، الأمواج المكسرة، السواحل الاصطناعية، الحواجز، الأرصفة العائمة، أعمال إعادة تأهيل الشواطئ، إلخ).
• مراقبة أداء المقاول وضمان الالتزام بالرسومات، والمواد، وطريقة التنفيذ المعتمدة.
• مراجعة والتحقق من جداول الإنشاءات، وتقارير التقدم، وخطط التعافي لضمان إتمام المشروع في الوقت المحدد.
• تحديد التأخيرات أو الانحرافات عن البرنامج الأساسي واقتراح إجراءات عملية لتصحيح التقدم.
• فحص والإبلاغ عن مشاريع التنمية الساحلية على طول ساحل دبي لضمان الالتزام بالقرارات المحلية والمعايير الدولية وأفضل الممارسات.
• مراجعة واعتماد طلبات دفع المقاول.
