Inspector - Civil (Roads)

Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector - Civil to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We envisage success in this role to include:

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.

• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.

• Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.

• Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.

• Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.

• Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.

• Checking and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.

• Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Qualifications:

• 7 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• Experience gained from working on large-scale Infrastructure projects is preferred.

Materials Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and making recommendation for approval of all submitted materials by the contractor.

• Ensuring compliance of used materials with the projects specifications.

• Participating in construction quality control.

• Supervising, participating and directing sampling and testing of all materials according to the contract and the specifications.

• Analyzing the test results in a timely manner and recommend action to the Senior Resident Engineer.

• Maintaining records of test results and all taken corrective actions.

• Tracking and reviewing the site testing and certificates of compliance.

• Following up and verifying implementation of corrective actions.

• Ensuring inspection and checking of all delivered materials to site for conformance to the project requirements and approval.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years career experience with a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Materials Engineer on a highway construction project is required.

Material Inspector

Qualifications:

• 7 years of work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Relevant experience in material inspection within roads and infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.

• Strong understanding of materials used in infrastructure projects, including aggregates, asphalt, concrete, pipes, manholes, valves, fittings, backfilling materials, etc.

• Familiarity with TAQA, ADM, and other Abu Dhabi authority specifications and quality requirements.

• Experience in witnessing and reviewing laboratory and field tests (e.g., compaction, slump test, concrete cube, asphalt core, etc.).

• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and material datasheets.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills with site teams and laboratories.

• المشاركة في مراقبة جودة البناء.

• الإشراف والمشاركة في أخذ العينات واختبار المواد وفق العقود والمواصفات.

• تحليل نتائج الاختبارات في الوقت المناسب واقتراح الإجراءات المناسبة للمهندس المقيم الأول.

• الاحتفاظ بسجلات نتائج الاختبارات وجميع الإجراءات التصحيحية المتخذة.

• التأكد من فحص جميع المواد المسلمة إلى الموقع لمطابقتها لمتطلبات المشروع واعتمادها.

المؤهلات:

• خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات مع بكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية أو ما يعادلها.

• خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات كمهندس مواد في مشاريع طرق.
