Position Summary
This job serves the operational side of the organization's business. NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) technicians evaluate the physical properties of materials without causing any damage. They inspect and test materials to detect corrosion, cracks, or other imperfections that could affect performance or integrity. Rope access techniques (IRATA) are used as required. Work sites include onshore, offshore, and locations across the Middle East and North Africa.
Functions / Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting & Supervision
Reports to the site supervisor/superintendent, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable day-to-day NDT inspection activities for clients.Access & Safety
Use rope access under the supervision of a qualified IRATA Level 3 to access work areas at height (when required).Ensure the work area is safe for NDT activities.Carry out risk assessments and take appropriate precautions as required.NDT Inspection & Techniques
Perform NDT inspections using Ultrasonics (UT), Radiography (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid/Dye Penetrant (PT), and Eddy Current (ET) techniques.Apply UT inspection techniques to components requiring inspection.Ensure inspections comply with applicable specifications.Equipment & Testing
Perform routine equipment and consumable function tests to ensure proper operation; report any issues immediately to supervision.Reporting & Documentation
Evaluate inspection results according to specifications.Produce clear, concise reports detailing methods used, results, findings, and any limitations or restrictions.Performance & Compliance

Certification & Training
Trained and certified as an ASNT and/or CSWIP AUT Operator and Interpreter, holding current certification.Experience with PipeWizard Phased Array AUT system (Olympus PIPEWIZARD V4) and trained in setup, use, and maintenance.Equipment Management
Ensure all AUT equipment is suitable and operational throughout the project.Maintain and service AUT systems, ensuring work is performed according to agreed procedures.Keep logs of component changes, repairs, and daily electronic backups.Reporting & Administration
Report relevant data clearly and accurately.Complete daily reporting and administration, including timesheets and work records.Conduct personnel team briefings, toolbox talks, and equipment inspections.Liaise with clients and ensure technical and administrative requirements are handled efficiently.Report project activities to the Project Manager.↚Safety

Perform Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET) on components requiring inspection.Ensure the work area is safe for conducting NDT activities.Undertake risk assessments / Take 2 as required.Ensure inspections are carried out within the parameters of the applicable specifications.Perform routine equipment and consumable function tests to confirm everything is in good working order; report any issues directly to supervision.Evaluate test results according to applicable specifications.Produce clear and concise reports detailing the methods used, inspection results, and all findings, noting any limitations or test restrictions.Execute work efficiently and on time to meet deadlines, adjusting priorities as required.Carry out tasks in accordance with Oceaneering and client operating procedures, as well as statutory and client specifications.Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Oceaneering management.Perform work in compliance with Oceaneering Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality Systems.المهام الوظيفية
