Job Title: Cooling Engineer

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Cooling Engineer to join our operations team immediately. This role is critical in ensuring the thermal reliability and uptime of Tier III/IV data center facilities 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain cooling systems, including:

Chillers (Air-cooled & Water-cooled – Vertiv, Carrier, Trane)
CRAC & CRAH units
In-Row Cooling Units (e.g., Vertiv CRV4)
Free Cooling Units (FWU - CWA60 & other models)
Hydronic systems: pumps, valves, expansion tanks, flow switches

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Monitor system performance and report abnormalities
Troubleshoot alarms (e.g., high pressure, low evaporator pressure)
Coordinate with OEMs/vendors during repairs or upgrades
Maintain detailed logs, service reports, and CAFM updates

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in data center or critical facility cooling
Strong knowledge of chilled water systems and DX-based systems
Understanding of HVAC controls and BMS integration
Immediate availability
Valid UAE driving license mandatory
Vertiv certifications (chillers, CRACs, CRVs) are a strong advantage
Certification in HVAC/Refrigeration or related field is a plus

About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated Resident Technician / Engineer to join our team and provide on-site technical support at a mission-critical data center facility. This role is responsible for the daily inspection, monitoring, and coordination of operations and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical infrastructure, ensuring continuous uptime and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily walkthroughs and inspections of all data center systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Cooling Systems (CRAC/CCU), Monitoring and BMS systems, and Leak Detection Systems (LDS).
Log and report any abnormalities and follow up with the relevant service teams for rectification.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance (PPM/CM) with internal and external service teams.
Respond promptly to emergency issues, perform initial inspection, and escalate when needed.
Work closely with the IT/Network team to support hardware deployments and patching.
Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, leaks) and take action to mitigate risks.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards in all site activities.
Support site audits and inspections by providing documentation and walkthrough assistance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incident logs, equipment status, and performance reports.
Prepare daily and monthly reports on site status, issues, and actions taken.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facility Management.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a data center, critical infrastructure, or facility operations role.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, cooling systems, and DC/AC power distribution.
Familiar with critical equipment operation (UPS, CRAC, PDU, BMS, etc.).
Working knowledge of IT equipment and basic network infrastructure is a plus.
Competent in using CMMS platforms, Microsoft Excel, and report generation tools.
Good interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
