Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Architect/Architectural Draughtsman at Al Shandagha Architects & Engineering Consultants in Dubai. Mechanical Supervision Engineer
About the Role: Mechanical Supervision Engineer
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Supervision Engineer who holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. This exciting opportunity to learn and grow with Al Shandagha Architects & Engineering Consultants will involve the supervision of construction works, ensuring that the site construction work is in accordance with the requirements of the contract. We have iconic projects within the built environment in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assist the Engineer in arranging, chairing, and recording meetings, starting with the kick-off meeting and continuing with progress and management meetings as required.
-
Assist the Engineer in establishing procedures for inspection approvals, testing, and commissioning according to the contract requirements.
-
Inspect the site construction work and provide non-conformity reports to highlight deviations from the contractual requirements.
-
Certify the works performed by the EPC contractor on behalf of the client and jointly sign MCCs, CCCs, etc.
-
Review the contractor’s HSE plan and ensure that safety procedures are followed on site.
-
Review and comment on the contractor’s programs, ensuring they are sufficiently detailed to demonstrate compliance with the contract requirements, allocated resources, and cash flow.
-
Review the contractor’s construction-related ITPs, method statements, and material submittals in accordance with the contract.
-
Monitor the contractor’s progress during construction and regularly assess output.
-
Implement QMS requirements and conduct regular audits.
-
Ensure that the contractor liaises with service and other authorities promptly so as not to affect the progress of the works, by attending meetings, monitoring agreed programs, and following up regularly.

Assist the site manager with daily activities, including planning, monitoring, and supervision tasks as directed.

Work closely with the back office team to highlight deviations/issues on priority and provide quick resolution to the client.

Assist the Engineer in preparing substantial completion reports, including any outstanding requirements.
