Road Design Engineer – 4-8 Yrs. Experience – Dubai
About the Job
Based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Set design criteria, check design calculations, and drawings.
- Agree on design concepts with the Team Leader.
- Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage.
- Assist in preparing fee proposals.
- Carry out feasibility work.
- Advise and report to the Team Leader and Division Manager on the adequacy of the services.
- Formalize standards for specifications, drawings, etc., in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Division Manager.
- Resolve any technical problems faced during the project design and/or construction stages.
- Investigate and recommend engineering system selections.
- Handle all correspondences including reports, technical specifications, and other documents relating to the projects.
- Prepare and monitor cost and quantity estimates (assist for clarifications only).
- Attend design/site meetings.
- Assist Team Leader in internal staff management.
- Assist in business development activities.
- Senior engineers must be able to lead projects and a team of engineers/technicians under their charge.
- Senior engineers must become fully familiar with coded and local Authority requirements.
- Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Team Leader/Division Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineering Board. A Master’s degree in building services engineering or equivalent will also be considered.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in design consultancy within the MEP consultancy field.
- Chartership membership with professional institutions (CEng, IEEE, IET, IES, etc.) is an advantage.
- Ability to articulate and present design ideas and report to stakeholders independently.
- Experience in international airports and data centres is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

المسؤوليات:
- تحديد معايير التصميم، التحقق من حسابات التصميم والرسومات.
- الاتفاق على مفاهيم التصميم مع قائد الفريق.
- ضمان الموافقة على التصاميم المبدئية والرسومات قبل الانتقال إلى المرحلة التالية.
- المساعدة في إعداد مقترحات الرسوم.
- إجراء الأعمال الخاصة بدراسة الجدوى.
- تقديم المشورة والتقارير إلى قائد الفريق ومدير القسم حول كفاية الخدمات.
- وضع معايير المواصفات، الرسومات، وما إلى ذلك بالتنسيق مع قادة الفرق ومدير القسم.
- حل أي مشاكل فنية تواجه المشروع خلال مراحل التصميم أو البناء.
- التحقيق والتوصية باختيار الأنظمة الهندسية.

المتطلبات:
- درجة بكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية معترف بها من قبل مجلس الهندسة المهنية. درجة الماجستير في هندسة خدمات المباني أو ما يعادلها ستكون أيضًا مؤهلة.
- خبرة من 7 إلى 10 سنوات في استشارات التصميم في مجال استشارات MEP.
