Role Description
We are looking for an engineer to join our Futures Trading Desk. You will be part of the team trading European power and gas markets. You will work closely with researchers and traders, helping them develop models, tools, and analytics solutions.
A significant portion of your day-to-day work will involve helping analysts take their models to production, deploy them to the cloud, and improve their scalability and performance.
You will build and maintain tools to analyze model results, monitor them, and make trading decisions. Additionally, you will be involved in automating as much of the entire trade lifecycle (analysis, trading decision, execution, position monitoring, performance review) as possible.
Technologies Used:
- Modeling: Julia and Python
- Backend: Golang/C#
We are open to changing or using new technologies if they allow us to achieve better results.
What Are We Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years of working experience, preferably in commodity markets
- Programming Skills: Strong skills in Python, SQL, NoSQL, and one of GoLang/C#/C++
- Focus: Performance and reliability
- Multitasking: Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects effectively
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Good to Have:
- Experience in deploying models to the cloud and optimizing their performance
- Experience developing UIs to analyze and monitor model/strategy performance
- Experience with Julia programming language (we use it heavily but it's okay to learn it on the job)

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Market & Operations Analyst. You will play an integral role in driving process creation and communications, as well as coordinating projects across the company. You will support the streamlining of operational processes and management of 3rd party vendors. You will work closely with the Head of Operations for the entry process into new markets for the commodities we trade—gas, power, and carbon. This role requires daily interactions with tech, finance, trading, legal, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an operational and support layer for day-to-day tasks/projects for Trading/Tech/Finance
- Serve as a point of contact for counterparties, exchanges, TSOs, and clearing houses, developing crucial relationships
- Facilitate user and product administration on third-party platforms, ensuring seamless trader access to exchanges and trading venues
- Support the growth of the company presence in markets by onboarding and completing due diligence in different territories
- Streamline company processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in trading operations
- Support the implementation of new business and associated system/process changes
- Support teams with company-wide project delivery
Skills:
- Deep attention to detail and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Tech and data-savvy: constantly tracking new ways to streamline and gain efficiency
- Proficiency in breaking down technical problems into business solutions
- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge or training in the Energy industry preferred
- Experience in operational environments requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective task prioritization
Relocation to Dubai will be supported by our company.
