Nurse Educator
Basic Function:

Ensure and promote nursing education to support patient participation in their care process and decisions.

Implement the Nursing and Patient Education Plan, standards, teaching strategies, and continuous in-service training programs for staff professional development.
Job Summary:

Formulate, plan, and submit clinical educational activities to promote, support, and enhance quality and safe nursing care.

Conduct training programs for nurses, midwives, and non-nursing staff as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient and outpatient neurological care by examining, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the nervous system.

Perform neurological examinations assessing head & neck nerves, muscle strength, movement, balance, ambulation, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, language, and other cognitive abilities.

Manage core neurological diseases including:

Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system

Epilepsies
-
Headache and migraine
-
Movement disorders
-
Polyneuropathies
-
Spinal cord disorders
-
Cognitive dysfunction
-
Genetic diseases with neurologic manifestation

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests: EEG, EMG/NCV, VEP, BAEP.

Identify pathological blood conditions and prescribe/administer relevant medications.

Counsel patients and families on neurological disorders, risk factors, and genetic/environmental concerns.

Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners when necessary.

Advise physicians on neurological treatment plans.

Prescribe or administer medications, monitor behavioral and cognitive side effects.

Prepare, maintain, or review medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
