Assistant Manager - Pipe

About the Job

Key Accountabilities

• Supervises the day-to-day operations of the pipe department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures

• Prioritizes health and safety in all daily activities

• Reviews, approves, and follows up project programmes and takes appropriate measures where required for contractual delivery of projects

• Researches and develops new work techniques and technologies related to pipe fabrication and welding, including improvement of documentation process flow for the department

• Receives and executes any work-related instructions from the Department Manager

• Substitutes the Department Manager during his absence, when appointed

• Defines priorities for the daily work processes of the department

• Liaises with other trades, Ship Repair Managers, and Superintendents to ensure smooth workflow on projects

• Inspects work sites inside the department (workshop, offices) and onboard to ensure optimal resource utilization

• Raises Occurrence Reports and approves repair methods for rejected work

• Approves Material Requisitions

• Prepares and recommends the Pipe section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed

Day-to-Day Operations

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

• الإشراف على العمليات اليومية لقسم الأنابيب لضمان تنفيذ عمليات العمل كما صُممت والالتزام بالسياسات والإجراءات المعتمدة.

• جعل الصحة والسلامة أولوية أولى في جميع الأنشطة اليومية.

• مراجعة واعتماد ومتابعة برامج المشاريع واتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة عند الحاجة لضمان التسليم التعاقدي للمشاريع.

• البحث وتطوير تقنيات وأساليب عمل جديدة تتعلق بتصنيع الأنابيب واللحام، بما في ذلك تحسين تدفق وثائق العمليات للقسم.

• استلام وتنفيذ أي تعليمات عمل صادرة من مدير القسم.

• القيام بمهام مدير القسم أثناء غيابه عند تكليفه بذلك.

• تحديد أولويات العمليات اليومية لقسم الأنابيب.

• التنسيق مع الأقسام الأخرى، ومديري إصلاح السفن والمشرفين لضمان سير العمل بسلاسة في المشاريع.

• تفقد مواقع العمل داخل القسم (الورش والمكاتب) وعلى متن السفن لضمان الاستخدام الأمثل للموارد.

• إعداد تقارير الحوادث واعتماد طرق الإصلاح للأعمال المرفوضة.

• اعتماد طلبات المواد.

• إعداد وتقديم توصيات ميزانية قسم الأنابيب عن طريق تحليل البيانات المتعلقة بالعناصر المحددة حسب توجيه الإدارة.

• إيقاف العمليات إذا لم تتحقق معايير الجودة المطلوبة.
