Job Description:
We are seeking a Water Resource Modeler with GIS and Hydrogeology background to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing hydrological and water resource models for various projects. The Water Resource Modeler will work closely with a team of professionals to support water resource management and planning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement hydrological and water resource models using software such as MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, and SWAT.
Conduct data analysis and interpretation to support model development and calibration.
Integrate models with GIS databases and applications.
Use models to assess water supply and demand, water quality, and environmental impacts.
Evaluate the performance of existing water resource systems and propose improvements.
Develop water management plans and strategies to optimize water use and allocation.
Communicate model results to technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
Keep up-to-date with new modelling tools and techniques related to water resource management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in hydrology, water resources engineering, environmental science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in hydrological and water resource modelling.
Proficiency in modelling software such as MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, and SWAT.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
Experience with GIS software and databases.
Knowledge of water resource management principles and practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
